PEOPLES MEDIA RECORD is pleased and excited to invite you to be part of the audience for a filmed roundtable discussion on public access and media justice, at PhillyCAM this Friday, November 22nd at 6pm! We will engage the history of the fight for public access TV in Philly, and reflect on our present reality and future promise when it comes to the ongoing fight for media justice. The discussion will be moderated by Rasheed Ajamu, who will be joined by participants Tom CasettaGretjen ClausingKeyssh Datts, and SIFT-Co-Founder Nadine Patterson

This roundtable is a gathering of artists, activists, and leaders with deep roots in Philly’s community media landscape, and is part of an activation of materials from the Philadelphia Community Access Coalition (PCAC) collection at PhillyCAM called “See the Future: Archiving the Philly Fight for Public Access,” and aims to ground the history of the fight for public access media in Philly within its multiple and complex lineages as well as create openings for reflection and discussion on visions of public access that respond to Philadelphians’ present and future needs and experiences. Come visit materials from the PCAC collection before the roundtable begins, on display in the first floor of PhillyCAM.
