SIFTer/Animator GABRIELLE PATTERSON will instruct our members in this career development Workshop:

EXPLORING MOTION GRAPHICS WORKSHOP: Students will learn essential skills to start their journey into motion graphics and animation. Students will learn the essential principles of animation and design as they create graphics, such as titles, lower thirds, kinetic typography, and infographics. Adobe After Effects will serve as the primary tool for motion graphics creation, complemented by opportunities to explore other software specialized in frame-by-frame animation. Whether aiming to enhance your storytelling capabilities through motion graphics or exploring the possibilities of a career as a motion designer, this workshop is for you!

Dates: (Two Sessions) Tues, Sept 16th and Tues, Sept 23rd (You can still sign up if you can only attend 1)
Time: 6 – 8pm (each session)
Place: PhillyCAM (699 Ranstead St #1, Philadelphia, PA 19106)
Cost: FREE  (Part of our BARTOL FOUNDATION Grant)
Note: We will be using their computer lab so all the needed software is already loaded.  This does mean we have to limit the workshop to 8 participants.

BIO: Gabrielle Patterson is an animator, illustrator, and visual artist based in Philadelphia. 

As an artist, I desire to create opportunities for connection and curiosity. My primary medium is animation, and I have recently begun my journey into documentary filmmaking.  As my work evolves, I look forward to creating more experimental and immersive storytelling experiences through animation, film, installation, projection, and new technologies.
