Join BPA for Big Picture Film Fest 2026 | “Amplify”

Date & Time: Thursday June 18th, 6-9pm | (6pm Mixer | 7pm Screening)

Big Picture Film Fest 2026 will premiere new films produced by young filmmakers through the Big Picture Alliance. Join in for the debut of new dramas, comedies, experimental films, and social documentaries featuring the stories of community change-makers. Now in its fifth year, this annual event brings together an intergenerational network of young creatives, industry professionals, community members and civic leaders to uplift marginalized voices and celebrate the next generation of storytellers. This year’s theme is “Amplify” featuring special guests Fam Frequency Productions, including live musical performance and documentary film premiere about their youth music programs.

All contributions support Big Picture Alliance’s school, summer, and workforce programs which provide Philly youth access to media tools, creative community, and professional mentorship – empowering them to define their own narrative from script-to-screen and from curiosity-to-careers.

Big Picture Film Fest premieres short films produced by youth (ages 12-24) from across Philadelphia through the Big Picture Alliance (BPA). In honor of BPA’s 30th anniversary, this year’s event explores the theme of “Homecoming” – bringing together alumni, young creatives, industry professionals and community leaders.
Hosted by Eldric Laron, the event includes a mixer, workshops, panel discussions, a musical performance by Seraiah Nicole, and the premiere of an immigrant justice documentary series featuring New Sanctuary Movement.

Premiering over 12 captivating short films created by Philadelphia youth, this event amplifies marginalized voices and sparks poignant conversations about identity, community, and the boundless potential of creative expression.
