Thanks to you, The Dennis Boys successfully raised $20,275. That means this Film Feature is taking the next big step. We’re so thrilled to have reached over 100% of our crowdfunding goal. It’s been a joy to get to know those of you who are new friends, to reconnect with friends from so many eras of our lives, and feel the love and support for this film. We are so excited to begin this next phase of production on The Dennis Boys and absolutely cannot wait to share it with you! ??

THE DENNIS BOYS is an independent family drama set in the Philadelphia suburbs centered around two brothers with conflicting views and agendas when it comes to caring for their sick mother.
Winner – Oscar Micheaux Award for excellence in screenwriting (Greater Philadelphia Film Office), 2017
One of the Producers and Lead Actress in the film is SIFTer Tatiana Bacchus.
It is Written & Directed by Stephen Arthur Schaffer, Editor of SIFT’s Group Film Projects: COVID1619 and GOOD GRIEF.
The team behind “The Dennis Boys” kicked off their Seed & Spark Fundraiser with a party on April 4, 2025. Held at the Bok Center. We (LeAnne Lindsay, SIFT Social Media Mgr.) captured moments from the party and the Q&A with Stephen and his wife/Producing Partner Jamie Forslund. Check Out the Video below:
We scraped some money together and in 2022 we produced a proof of concept film to show the industry what we’re capable of. All of our hard work (and the work of our fabulous crew) paid off as THE DENNIS BOYS short film was selected to screen at several film festivals including the New York Shorts International Film Festival and the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival!
