SIFT is happy to be a Supporter of Big Picture Alliance’s COmmunity VIDeo Resiliency Project  –Premiering documentary films by Philly youth uplifting stories of resilience during the COVID pandemic. Followed by a discussion with the filmmakers & community partners reflecting on “a year of resilience and the road ahead”.

This Choice Is Our Voice (2020, 9:13 min) dir. Jose Quintana

A short documentary about the power of youth voice in voting and social change. It features Vote That Jawn, a youth-led initiative working to increase voter participation among their peers and communities.

Community partners include: PhillyTechJustice, Philadelphia Student Union, Racial Justice Organizing Committee, Asian Americans United, Modero & Company, Vote That Jawn, Young Philly Artists, OIC Workforce Academy, and Rosemont College. Supported by The Philadelphia COVID Community Information Fund, The Knight-Lenfest Local News Transformation Fund, and The Independence Public Media Foundation.
